Time for Winterizing....

With the last of the slated camp sessions and special group usage having passed, it's time for getting the plumbing and buildings ready to hunker down through another winter season.  The chapel is sporting a new set of clothes to see this winter through with the new roof, siding, and windows!  Electronics are being moved out so as not to be damaged by the extreme temperatures, and other projects are in the works to "button up" the grounds during the off-season.

Neil's trusty side-kick, Dick, is spear-heading the winterizing operations while our new Assistant Manager, Dustin Wells, is coming up to speed on all the behind-the-scenes operations.  It's alot of work to 'bed down' the camp so as to have a ready facility in the spring to wake up, spruce up and ready for another busy season.

A New Site

In the interest of keeping the camp's official web presence up to date and easily updated, we are moving to Google's Blogger platform.  With its easy editor interface and tools, information can be quickly posted.  While there are PSCSC pages on Facebook, people must first have signed up with Facebook to access those pages.  This site allows official information to be disseminated to anyone with internet access.

Some aspects of the old site have been ported over.  Special pages giving information on Schedule, Area Churches, etc. have been included as a handy references (which can be accessed from the menu bar above).  New features, such as realtime feeds from PSCSC's Schedule and Other Events calendars can be found in the sidebar, again giving quick reminders of such things.

At the initiation of this site, the ability to post comments to updates has been activated.  If the commenting privilege is seriously misused,  it will be disabled.  If there are other things that may be useful, feel free to email the webmaster with suggestions.
